Remember the old television show called Millionaire? Each week an anonymous millionaire would give a one million-dollar gift to someone. The gift was always free–but the gift always made a big change in the recipient’s life. That’s how grace is. You don’t change in order to receive God’s grace; you change as a result of experiencing God’s grace. Grace is like corrective surgery. We are helpless in sin-but God gives us grace and God’s grace changes what we ourselves cannot change.
We continue in the morning 9am Adult Sunday School time to look at various questions or reasons people have for not making JESUS Lord and Savior. This Sunday we address the obstacle: “My Friends will think I’m crazy if I accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior”. How would you respond to this spiritual question.
See ya Sunday- Pastor John and Maureen!
Remember all the tests you took during your school years? Remember your drivers ed written and driving test? I took my driver’s test in a Volkswagon Beetle. I’ll never forget it. The only part I didn’t do well with was the parallel parking. I had a whole fifteen feet to park this little bug between two signs and what did I do? I knocked over the back sign-ha.
Guess what? Your school years never stopped. Life is to be a continuously learning experience! We can learn amazing things spiritually by the tests we go through. Look at James 1:1-12.
The tests of life aren’t some school type test, as much as they are composed of how we go about making everyday choices. Tests come in all shapes and sizes.
So come Sunday for our Sunday School at 9am and worship at 10:30.
Have a super weekend-with the Lord! Your servants for Christ-Pastor John and Maureen!
