Hello hair. There are important references in Holy Scripture to hair. Remember that body builder named Samson? His strength was related not just to his relationship with Almighty God but to his long hair.
Why bring this up? The 2017 Seattle Mariners have a new player, who is really hitting and fielding the ball. His name is Taylor Motter. What’s unique? It’s his long blonde hair.
So, like Samson and Taylor Motter, can I ask? Where does your strength come from? Samson’s strength came not as much from his long hair as much as it came from Samson’s personal anointing from God (see Judges 13:5).
Where does your strength come from? From your hair? Think again. Yes, you may have beautiful hair-but know like Zechariah 4:6: “Not by power, not by might but by my Spirit, says the Lord.”

Who or what is beating you up?
We all get beat up in life. Weather, bills, and health issues can make us all feel like we’ve been beat up, or run over by a sixteen wheeler. My heart goes out to those in the next community named Sprague where the people continue to be beat up by flooding.
Don’t allow life to make you a victim. No, we can’t control what comes our way from other people and issues; but we can control how we react to what seeks to beat us up. Instead of falling into the pity party syndrome; we instead can immediately call upon the Lord. The Lord who says: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart and you will find ret for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light (Matthew 11:28-30).” Good Friday was Jesus’ getting beat up; but like Jesus’ Resurrection-be ready for God’s extreme comeback.

Throughout especially rural America-a fierce dragon has ravaged many people. This beast is called “Alcohol and Drug Addiction.”
What makes this dragon so vicious is that in the process of giving relief from pain-Opiate Based Pain Meds: Vicodin, Lorcet, Norco, Percocet, Percodan, hydrocodone, oxycodone have turned countless people into addicts.
The Bible book of Revelation features a dragon, a beast that Christ battles and overcomes! Christ overcame the beast thrown into the lake of fire (Rev. 20:10). What each of us cannot do by ourselves, with Christ’s supernatural grace we can overcome any dragon-even this beast called addiction.
